Terms of use
These terms govern the use of Pixelity, provided by Moonside Labs. By using the service you accept them; if you do not agree, do not use it. Read them together with the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.
1. The service
Pixelity is a free, account-free tool for editing images inside your browser: removing or replacing the background, selecting objects and text with AI, cutting out with outlines, erasing and filling objects, resizing, blurring the background (portrait mode), fixing blurry photos, upscaling, turning images into pixel art and adding a watermark or stamp. We may change, improve or remove features, or stop offering the service, at any time.
2. Your images
Your images are yours: we receive no copy and acquire no rights over them or over the results. You are responsible for having the rights or permissions needed for the images you edit and for how you use the results.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Pixelity to:
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights;
- remove, cover or alter watermarks, logos, signatures, credits or other information identifying the author or owner of an image that is not yours or that you are not allowed to modify. The features for removing objects and text are meant for your own images (for example, the camera date stamp, a sign in the way or your own logo);
- put a watermark or stamp with your name or logo on someone else’s images to claim a work that is not yours, or use another person’s name or logo without permission;
- create misleading content about real people, impersonate anyone or manipulate someone’s images without their consent;
- create or share illegal content, especially any sexual content involving minors, or content that harasses, defames or discriminates;
- attack, overload or try to tamper with the service or the servers it downloads its files from, access them in an automated, large-scale way, or bypass their technical limits or security measures.
4. AI results
Results are generated automatically and may contain errors: review them before using them. Several features invent content that was not in the photo: Upscale adds believable detail, Fix blurry photo reconstructs edges, Remove & fill (and the Remove object brush) fills areas with invented content, and portrait blur estimates how far each area is. Do not use these results as evidence or to identify people, license plates or text.
5. Third-party components and services
Pixelity uses open-source AI models and libraries under their own licenses, listed under Licenses. These terms do not limit the rights those licenses give you. Their authors are not involved with Pixelity and do not endorse it.
The app is served from Cloudflare and the AI models are downloaded from Hugging Face. If those providers fail or limit downloads (for example, when one connection requests many in a short time), some features may be unavailable for a while.
6. Pixelity’s property
The Pixelity name and logo, its design and its code (except third-party components) belong to Moonside Labs. You may use the app under these terms, but not copy or reuse its brand, design or code to offer another service, except as allowed by the licenses of the third-party components.
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve Pixelity with no obligation to you.
7. Minors
Pixelity is not aimed at minors. If you are a minor under the law of your country, use it only with permission from your parent or guardian.
8. Suspension of access
We may limit or block access to Pixelity from a connection or device that uses it in breach of these terms, especially if it attacks or overloads the service.
9. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors, or on every device.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Moonside Labs is not liable for indirect damages or for loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from the use of the service. Nothing here limits the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version. If you keep using Pixelity after a change, you accept the new version.
12. General provisions
If any part of these terms is not valid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a clause at a given time, that does not mean we waive it. These terms are available in Spanish and English; if they differ, the Spanish version prevails.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Paraguay, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. Contact: contact@pixelity.xyz.
